The Winter Law Keepers Gathering brings together Chiefs, delegates, and law keepers from the Law Making Nations. This gathering focuses on how to hold and follow protocols in Nation-led lawmaking processes.

Each Nation defines law keepers in their own way. Law keepers may include elders or knowledge keepers who have knowledge of language, culture, traditions. They may also practice ceremony and may teach ceremony to others. They may be someone Nation members turn to for guidance and wisdom. Our time together empowers Law Keepers to strengthen our law making process and ensure lawmaking follows Nation traditions and protocols while we work together.
