The First Nation Family Placement Program is essentially a long-term development project that will serve to strengthen the safety & well-being of First Nation children, families & Nations in their own First Nation Community.
This program will work in partnership with our member First Nations to identify & establish community members who can provide 24/7 availability for children of their community. This program will work towards the establishment of a “Community Safe Home” within the Member First Nation Community.
This program also offers Extended Family Placement support for Member First Nation community members who are trying to care for children in care with MSS or out of province.
